State Oversight of Common Interest Developments - Study H-853
As part of its larger study of common interest development ("CID") law, the
Commission considered the role of the state in assisting to resolve disputes within CIDs. The
Commission recommended, as a pilot project, the creation of a state CID Ombudsperson within the
Department of Consumer Affairs. The recommendation was twice approved by the Legislature but vetoed
by the Governor. Materials relating to this topic are collected below.Materials relating to other
CID-related subtopics are cataloged separately on the CID Homepage.
